Running Fred is the gory 3D castle runner: sprint Fred through halls of blades, spikes and pits, and try to get him out in one piece.

About Running Fred

Running Fred is Dedalord's runner in a haunted castle. Fred sprints down corridors lined with swinging blades, spike floors, collapsing bridges and flame vents; you steer, jump and slide, and the traps are lethal in a cartoonish, splattery way. There is an adventure mode of hand-made levels and an endless survival mode.

It is faster and meaner than Temple Run and its level design is better.

How to Play Running Fred

Choose adventure or survival.
Run forward; steer between lanes.
Jump the pits, slide under the blades, double-jump the long gaps.
Reach the exit in adventure, or run as long as you can in survival.

Controls

A and D or Left and Right arrows: change lane.
W or Up: jump (press again to double-jump). S or Down: slide.
Touch: swipe.

Tips and Tricks

Double-jump only for the long gaps; a double-jump on a short one lands you in the next trap.
Blades swing on a rhythm; slide as one passes.
Skulls buy upgrades in adventure mode; the double-jump upgrade is the best.
Survival mode is about lane discipline: stay centre until you must move.
